Gold extends gains into record territory

Gold for August delivery /quotes/zigman/700181 GC1Q +0.17% added $2.10, or 0.1%, to $1,587.60 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange in a see-sawing Asian session, having earlier traded in negative territory.
