Petrofac leads U.K. stock market lower Moody’s warning on U.S. debt weighs on stocks

LONDON (MarketWatch) — British stocks dropped Thursday after Moody’s Investors Service warned of the rising risk of a short-lived U.S. default, with oilfield-services firm Petrofac Ltd. leading the fall after a broker downgrade.
