Sharemarket sheds 1.6pc after Moody’s downgrades Societe Generale, Credit Agricole

MOODY’S ratings agency today said it had downgraded by one notch top French banks Societe Generale and Credit Agricole, sending the Australian sharemarket tumbling to the close of trade.
